OK ............ so could this be László József Bíró, a Hungarian who invented the ballpoint pen that bares his name - a biro - and who sold it to a Frenchman, a Mr Bich who subsequently named it a Bic, the name it carries in France like you say biro in the UK?

I cheated - I knew the name, but couldn't get the squiggles either!!! So I pasted it from Wiki and it came out with all the accents too. Not quite sure how it should be pronounced in a real Hungarian accent!!

But there again it might not be him ......... could it be a her for once? Frank hasn't yet revealed the latest bit of the puzzle ............ where is he???!!!!

He is in Hull, or was in Hull at his grandsons 5th birthday bonfire party. Yes its Laslo Biro, obviously Nick got it first and as ususal preferred to give a hint.

Actually...I'm not sure this is a picture of the actual guy. I suspect its somebody else with the same name, who was around at the same time..

Edit, I thought I'd found an early Glenn Miller picture but it turns out its a different Glenn Miller, Sorry. So I'll post another.

Actually isn't there a member of the original Glenn Miller family who still plays with the orchestra (the original lot not the cover types ... and yes I'm sure he's very old by now!)
