| True but by the time I need them I can almost guarantee they will be and we'll still be paying back what Gordon has borrowed to get us out of this recession so there will be even less money to pay for care. |

Do you know a programme like this gets shown and people are quick to jump on the band wago and say things, but what really annoys me is the fact that the good natured side of the caring proffession is never ever portrayed |

| But if people didn't then there would be no chance of changes, sweeping it under the carpet doesn't help anyone. |

I am well aware of that but you have missed my point. What about the carers that do an honest hard days work in this job, yet the rewards are never shown! |

| I think several points were made in the show about how honest and caring many people are in the profession and how wages are being driven down and down by quite crazy contracts. Which I personally would not have been aware of prior to the programme so I do think they presented both sides really. |

I understand what you're saying, Paignton. There never acknowledge the hard work and dedication a lot of the carers do, with very little thanks, often for a poor wage.
I haven't seen the programme, and these programmes need to be shown, as older people don't always get the care they deserve. But they are often one-sided. _________________

GQB some of my clients watched the programme last night and I was dreading going to work this money However they all said that that there are good and bad in us all.
Thankfully in 13 years of being a carer I have never ever had a complaint made against me by any clients In fact three of mine have cancelled care for three days next week as I am on holiday |

most of you probably know i am a care worker
i do enjoy my job
i go to peoples houses every day to help them
we had a meeting today which was held in
a day room in a local residential home
this is a lovely place
spotlessly clean
and it smelled like your own fresh house
the residents we seen said hello to us
and looked happy
they could go outside into the gardens if they wished

Didn't see programme but i would be totally lost without my mum's carer who comes in to help with personal care, She is really professional and don't know how we could cope if she wasn't on scene.
