It's acceptable. It's never immaculate, always looks "lived in", and I don't care!

Life's for living. Only dull people have immaculate houses.

Every time I tidy up, I can't find anything. I can't have a carpet on my floor because I live on farmland and am always trudging dirt and mud inside. I had a dust around my knick knack collection not too long ago and it's covered in dust already. Fortunately I get very few visitors so am not bothered about the state of the place. I have other things to do than eternal spring cleaning.

my worst time was after son left home

up until then i had a briefcase where i kept all
the family's important stuff and could always find
what we needed

when he left he would get in touch and ask me
to send him birth certs
exam results
medical card

you get the picture

i never knew if he had the stuff and could not find it
or if i had it
so i did not know how long to search for if you know what i mean
