Can anyone tell me if I can go here for a weekend from Ireland.
Dont mind flying from Dublin to some UK airport and then onwards
As far as I know direct flights from Dublin only go once a week.
Someone correct me if I am wrong

Its possible to do three nighters from Gatwick and Manchester as packages. May be possible to do other durations if you DIY.

Go and view Smugglers Cove from the viewpoint...then go for a boat trip to visit it. The beach is all pebbles but the sea is an incredible blue.

Hire a car for a couple of days...its only a small island so you can see most of it in that time.

SOme nice restaurants in Zakynthos town square should you fancy a break away from your resort.

Yep everyone goes on the little viewing platform and takes the same piccies...we were lucky when we got to the beach as ours was the only boat there with only six of us on it...we got in just as three of the big trip boats with music blaring were leaving.

we wont be driving as Billy works in a garage 6 days a week so will not drive on holiday!

anyway im sure the boat trips will be fab as they were in Corfu

thanks for the pics, will def be going there but i take it you need to drive to the viewpoint, or maybe a coach will go there

the Zante forums are quite poor on the net unlike when we went to Corfu
there is a fab forum with hundreds of members

I've FOUND my cd with pics on Vonny! We drove to the lookout point.....during the week we had ...a jeep....then a sort of mad max go kart

- finished up on cycles! pmsl!

We stayed at Alikes - be back with photos/info in a bit!

We stayed at Alykanas...just down the way from Alikes..used to eat in a really nice Greek restaurant just halfway between two resorts.

Its worth checking on the web for vouchers that some of the Zante restaurants have for a bottle of house wine free with your meal

Yep Pam the one with the The resorts are only a few hundred yards apart, both have good beaches and both are pretty quiet. I found Zante catered very much to the UK market I saw one restaurant boasting it served real Bisto,finding a good Greek taverna was more of a problem.

We stayed in Alikes as well Pam, but it was some years ago now. Loved it.
