Freddie was the ultimate showman.
He's sorely missed.

he was a great showman, but he wasnt a great musician, i liked queen, but i couldnt place them in my top ten, although i could place Brian may in my top 10 guitarists, but only because nobody can get a sound like he did, he was a electician so he changed his whole guitar set up, and he got an awesome sound. But i think Freddie Mercury was a tad over rated. _________________ I feel like nothin' I do is ever right

They were good, but a bit too bubble gum, i like a rugged sound like The who,Faces, Rolling Stones, Hendrix, Dylan. and if im feeling like listening to a more polished sound, Its pink floyd.
Queen seemed like a gimmick to me, Individually, they were amazing musicians, but sounded very 'pop'.
With the exception of possibly Brian may, i wouldnt refer to any of them as genious'.
God bless his soul, but, honestly, i think if he would of still been alive,he wouldnt be idolised like he is now, Its like The who, If Daltry would of died, the who would of sold more records, But because it was there Bassist (who after Flea,Is the best Bass guitarist of all time) and There Drummer who died, nobody paid much attention, Also the manner in which Freddie died wasnt your usual Rock Way out.
Like i said, i respect queen for what they did, but i wouldnt say they were a great band.....they were good.
Elvis was terrible. _________________ I feel like nothin' I do is ever right

I watched the Tribute a couple of weeks ago - I must admit I had forgotton how good they were.
My Dad really liked them and it was on Sky Planner a while before I plucked up the courage to watch it - I did have a little cry at the end - not sure if it was for Freddie or my Dad!
Isnt it weird how certain songs brings back memories? _________________ Joolz.
