Looking at this thread has made me think about Cyprus for next year .... keep posting all of you that know it. You're doing a great job of selling it
Hotel / apartment recomendations would be good as well |

Trish once you have been you will want to go back again and again
I loved both Protaras and Pathos but would prefer Pathos if had the choice
While in Pathos we visited Polis, Latchi, Aphrodites Baths , Coral Bay ,Pissouri , Troodos Mountain, Limassol
While in Protaras we visited Ayia Napa , Larnaca, The outsirts of Famagusta , Pernera, Nicosia, and we went accross the turkish border. We also visted lots af tiny little villages while we were there.
What are you looking for Hotel ar Apartments ? _________________

| Actually I'm not a Cyprus fan...I have difficulty understanding the fuss people make about it....especially Paphos...still most others here will diasagree with me so it seems I'm the lone dissenting voice. |

I like to explore as well maggie ... love finding places more off the beaten track .... as for accomodation, I think I would prefer an apartment this time.
Paphos sounds great ... but the lack of beach puts me off ... best beaches? which resort?
Thanks |

Trish there are small sandy beaches dotted round Paphos and a beautiful
sandy beach at Coral Bay a few miles away Most of the biggest
beaches are at the eastern end of the island..........Protaras, Pernera and
Ayia Napa
We love Paphos as it's got lots to see and do in the area and is handy for
going to the Troodos mountains, Pissouri, Limassol, Polis and Latchi to
mention a few places Pissouri is a lovely place to visit with a really good
beach and fabulous tavernas serving many different types of food.
Polis and Latchi are beautiful and worth the drive..........superb
tavernas serving fresh caught fish. Limassol is a city with its own charm and
fabulous shopping, restaurants and bars. There is so much history there to see.
God I sound like a Cyprus tourist guide but to be honest I love the
place and am quite passionate about it.
I'll shut up for now _________________

Thanks for that Helen, it sounds beautiful!
I would want a beach that I could just walk to and save the driving for sightseeing I can't see the kids being too impressed if we had to drive every time they wanted a dip in the sea, they hate being in the car at the best of times .... but for trips and sightseeing they would just have to live with it
All the places you mention sound lovely .... I'm gonna look into it .... wonder what the flight time is from Belfast ... will have a look ..
Cheers |

You're welcome
The flight time is about 5hrs Trish. Don't get me wrong, there are beaches
in Paphos you can walk to..........they just aren't huge
This is one of them..........
