I'm not allowed to buy any more books.

I have over 100 that I have bought and haven't read yet. My problem is I keep reading things that I've already read and don't get to read the new ones.

If you like epics try Stephen Kings Dark Tower Series. I read them before but now I have all 7 books I started again from the beginning.

On book 5 at the moment.

First book is quite hard to follow but stick with it.

They are excellent even if you are not usually a King fan.

madsue,

The Holly book is brilliant - I understand why you havent read it but its a fathers story - it doesnt focus on the crime itself too much - its more of how it affected him and his family and living with the police in their house everyday and the media. Very interesting.

I too wish I had been clever enough to go into Forensics - Im a fan of Discover Channel and CSI - its so clever how they can catch someone with the smallest of evidence.

Anyone read "A Brother's Journey" by Richard B Pelzer. He is the brother of David Pelzer "The Boy Called It" and it is about his life and what happened after his brother was taken into care. Couldn't put it down last night.

The family all thought I was nuts asking for book tokens for Christmas, but like you and guest, Bobian, it`s MY idea of heaven as well. There are a few books on my wish list, and as I can`t afford to buy books all that often, the list has grown quite a bit. I may not get them all, because I don`t know if they`ve all gone to paperback yet, but I`ll get as many as I can.

Well, I haven`t spent all of my book tokens yet, but I`ve made a damn good start. I`ve got 3 biographies, "Just a Boy" by Richard McCann, the son of the Yorkshire Ripper`s first victim, "Too Many Mothers" by Roberta Taylor from The Bill, and "Behind Closed Doors" by Martine McCutcheon`s mum Jenny Tomlin. I also got the one remaining book by Dan Brown that I haven`t read, "Deception Point", "London Bridges" by James Patterson, "Straight into Darkness" by Faye Kellerman, "Private Eyes" by Jonathan Kellerman, and finally, "The Various Haunts of Men" by Susan Hill, an author I haven`t tried before, anyone else read anything of hers? I`ve just got to get the festivities over and done with now, then I can get down to some reading!
