Politician no. Clue - it is said that, if this man could play everything he ever wrote for the piano, he was the greatest pianist that ever lived. (Lord knows I have enough trouble playing even the simplest of his pieces).

That clue was too good. I did some digging on the net and found the only known photo of this chap taken on the year he died. I would never have got this, never having seen a picture of the chap.This is a picture of his monument.

I'll leave it to see if anyone can come up with a name.

Yes, Frank, you have it. The one and only picture.

Hilda ... the statue met with much controversy due to its unconventional design.

The design is reported to be of a stylized willow tree hanging over this man's seated figure echoing a pianist's hand and fingers.

Not sure about the "significance" aspect though.
