Counter-tenor is a recognised voice style. They are not so common nowadays.....in the past, women were not allowed to sing and so they needed counter-tenors or even castrati
I am showing a link to a famous counter-tenor Andreas Scholl, here he is in an opera by Handel, playing the King of Lombardy, Bertarido, who has been presumed dead after a battle. The pretender to the throne weants to marry the "widow". Bert comes back and sees his own grave and here sings of his love for his wife Rodelinda, declaring that only in her presence can he find consolation for his sorrow. Fortunately she refuses to re-marry and in the end it all ends happily.

There is so much media surrounding SB now she cant put a foot wrong ....if anyone else had fluffed the beginning of their song like that....comments would have been made

No wonder the flower arrangers got booed they were awful, mind you i didnt like the girl singer from the last series either, they spoil cup finals with that type of horrible singers too
