My dad gave me this to read last week, said he couldnt put it down, well neither could I,
Its about the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints religeous group,and the life one woman had with them before she escaped from it,
you might remember a while ago the FEDs or someone going in to the sect and taking the children away and doing DNA test as they thought they were all relatives,,,,, well its the same,
she was married at 18 to a man 30 years older and had 8 children in 17 years, she was his 4th wife, 4 of 8 that all lived together,,,, she sufferd beatings, as did her children, forced out of schooling, wathced at every moment, no money of her own and no car,, nothing,
its a riveting read,

it sounds very intersting, hilda.

Unfortunately for me, I'm a book wimp...and prefer uplifting escapist stories

and don't tell me it IS escapist

One book I loved...have you read it Hilda? The Island!
Didn't realise until much later the author is the wife of Ian Hislop!
