I listen to Alot of Rock. Alot of Oldies, Dylan,Hendrix,Stones,Pink Floyd etc. Then alot of new Stuff, nine black alps,Arctic monkeys,Kaisers,Killers, etc.

I also listen to alot of Hip hop music, not to be confused ith rap. I love intricate lyrics and deep insightful lyrics, and artists such as Aesop Rock,MF Doom,Mr Lif,Immortal Technique,Black Star etc are in my opinion, Unrecognised genious'.

I dont like Dance music, its only 6 seconds of music, looped. Hate Garage, hate rnb, hate rap (50 cent, eminem, nelly etc) and i dont like Niech.

Given that I was a teenager in the Seventies I find myself revisting some of the music of the period. Most of the prog rock from the era I find unlistenable now, but find Yes stands out, Pink Floyd as well.

Later Graham Parker and the Rumour were one of my favourites and the late seventies early eighties produced some good chart music - bands like the Police,Human League, The Beat, early UB40, Stranglers.

Nice to hear some rocks bands sounding like rock bands again these days like the Kaiser Chiefs, so much music seems to have gone wishy washy.

I've followed my fave band since the late 80's.... The Wonder Stuff. They split in the 90's, did a bit of solo stuff then reformed a few years ago, and are just about to release their 2nd album since reforming.
i love 'em to bits and play them all the time. Can't wait to see em again in March...

Other than them, I like lots of old Indie/Brit Pop stuff - James, Suede, Neds, PWEI....

And the great Morrissey... Billy Bragg too....

New stuff I like includes The Editors, Harrisons, Futureheads....... I couls ho on (and on, and on...)

I've always been into guitar based bands from 10cc,Queen(just got the DVD with Paul Rodgers,Brilliant),Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers,Bruce Springstein and the E Street Band,John Fogerty(Creedence Clearwater)Cream,Floyd to Hendrix on his good days. Not too keen on slit your throat music of Morrisey. Can't stand rap or the Kareoke krap of the so called pop idols.Recently been listening to The Kaiser Chiefs and The Artic Monkeys. Not got them yet but at least they've got guitars. The only DVDs I buy are music ones.Got quite a collection now.

I love all music. I'm quite lucky because in my job I get to listen to everything.

We got a CD in a couple of weeks ago by a band called barefoot.

They do covers of dance music but in a jazzy style

on their website, you can listen to their music.

Let me know what you think.

I listen to a lot of music from varied sources really, cant say i have a particular taste, last live gig i went to was Kings of Leon and they were amazing, a really good time, Last album bought, was Campfire Headphase by Boards of Canada. If i go to any clubs it tends to be ELectro or hip hop, maybe some tehcno, nothing too dancy or popular, I like this guy called Dave Clarke and got to see him not long before John Peel died, at Maida Vale, still have my photo on the BBC site, might search for it...hang on...

was a great day, they just gave us crate loads of lager and after the session took all down to Nag Nag Nag in London as special guests where Dave Clarke wowed us all with a rare hip hop set. Was great to meet John Peel also as my dad had met him there also previously.

I like the Kaisers at the moment, Arctics are great too, my daughter loves them too.

Listened to that barefoot thing haha, what a laugh, ebeneezer goode done in Jazz style!! PMSL!!!
