is there a spray you can get to remove them, do they do much harm? Horrible little buggers are on my rose tree bushes, and I don't like the look of them

A little washing up liquid well diluted sprayed on the roses works quite well, don't do it in full sunlight though as it will burn the leaves.

You could underplant with some nastursuims or french marigold  ... these will attract beneficial insects. Things like ladybirds and hoverflys  will take care of your white, black & greenfly
