I have a 4 1/2lb rolled and boned turkey breast (in the string covering).Do I calculate 15 mins per lb as previously or, as there is no bone, a different timing? _________________

Sorry can`t help hbrac, but I was wondering if its easy to cut the legs off the turkey before cooking, do they come away quite easily or is it a big job.
Also just realised I`ve forgotton to get extra bacon for the top of the turkey, does it really make a difference??? don`t want it wo be all dry and horrible.
Thanks |

I expect you should be able to cut the legs off easily enough with sharp scissors or knife. As long as you keep the top of the turkey moist by basting etc I don't think it matters if you don't put bacon ontop. _________________

Well I cooked my rolled and boned turkey breast today so it's all ready for slicing and reheating tomorrow with the roasties. _________________

What a breeze peeps. I sliced it with my electric knife and reheated just the right amount for lunch today. The rest is in the fridge all ready to put into sandwiches or whatever. Will deffo do that again. No messing around. I just had to put in the potatoes and stuffing at lunchtime.
