I personally think it going to be close between Alexandra, Austin and Owen ( can't remember the irish way!)

There was a lot of nerves but also a lot of very dispointing acts...

Sorry but I don't rate Laura at all and whilst Diana has a good voise it really isn't my cup of tea...

diana was really getting on me nerves with her dido/maryhopkins thing , that lilt in her voice and singing from the back of her thoat like bein strangled, cant believe she got in and not that other blond that lost her mum when she was 7,

Out of the lot of them I liked 5 acts, Daniel, Eoghan, Ruth, Alexandra, and Bad Lashes, till Bad Lashes picked such an awful song at the end and made such a hash of it. Still, 4 of my choices got through. I can`t stand Rachel, Laura and Austin. Felt sorry for the Pontins Bluecoat cos of the song he was given, but he IS a bii of a cry baby.

I can`t wait to see the backs of Rachel, Laura and Austin, don`t like Diana much either. Loved Daniel and also Eoghan`s rendering of Ben, although Ray Quinn did a better job 2 years ago. I like Alexandra and Ruth, no way should she have been in the last 2, and quite liked JLS, maybe because those are MY initials! I was a bit disappointed in Ruth`s performance at the end, hated the song she chose, but still pleased she`s still in.

The women stole the show tonight. My guess is that Daniel and the boyband will be in the bottom 2. Rachel showed her class tonight at long last, but has fierce competition from the spanish girl (Jessica Rabbit) .

i do think they all did a fair job tonight....but scott and daniel came across the weakest.

the irish lad...austin...alexandra and JLR seemed to be all round performers in my eyes....they already seem to "act" like professionals.

I thought Daniels song at the end was so moving. The words of the song were beautiful and he meant every single word he said, thats passion.......scott was like a stroppy child at the end.

I LOVE Dianna, I think she is super, I don't like Rachel, too cocky and Laura is too orange (silly reason but drives me insane!)

My choice for bottom 2 would have been Rachel and Laura, they`re both AWFUL. I was pleased that Daniel got to stay in, he`s good, and Scott was such a cry baby. I think that Ruth and Alexandra are both great, and was pleasantly surprised at Eoghan, didn`t think he`d cope with the big band thingy. Austin I don`t usually like, but he was maaaarginally better this week. I still like JLS, (my initials!), even though a couple of them are a bit weak on their own. Diana I can take or leave her.

I would have had Rachel and Eoghan in the bottom two, Eoghan was so out of tune it was painful listening to him!

As for Daniel, he only got away with that (a) because he used his sob story and (b) because Louis hates Simon and would have chosen his act to go regardless

Alex, Austin and Ruth were my favourites last night. Diana was awful again, I hate the way she sings in the back of her throat and nose, it's horrible and I hope she's gone soon.

Frank, i'm with you on this one.....i got very confused...why the hell were they "allowed" to sing ANOTHER song....could the programme not afford the band for the final two songs??

they always sing the song they have just sung!! louis slated daniel on his big band performance but came over "all emotional" at his other song!

i did feel sorry for scott....i wonder if he was thinking...why cant I have a story!!!

but at the end of the day the two weakest singers were in the bottom two(and i did think daniel would have been more suited to big band sound)...the competition is wide open this year...and neither scott or daniel stand a chance against any of the others.

What I do find amazing is how different we all are in our opinions of these singers. Its like we've been listening to different shows.
The one thing my wife and I agree on, and we both said the same phrase at exactly the same time - "Jessica Rabbit" when Ruth Lorenzo performed Summertime. She had exactly the same mannerisms and gestures during her performance.

Allowing the sing off performers to pick their own song is an improvement this year it will help all contestants there will be some themes they are not comfortable with. I dont think Daniel is going to win although he does have public support I would have voted him out last week but he deserved to stay in this week, his song was sung with genuine emotion and feeling and as it was possibly his last appearane I dont think his choice was in any way cynical, he certanly came across better than sulking Scott.
The highlight of last nights show " The Tribute To Heroes" it put into perspective who are the real people with X factor and who should be the ones we reward rather than these wannabes.

and i dont think daniel has that much public support....otherwise he wouldn't have been in the bottom two so early on in the contest. it would have been interesting to see who would have gone if it had gone to the tie breaker last night.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is lovely and a good singer! BUT, if you compare him to people like Diane or some of the girls, he isn't as good. I can see the star is Diane already.
Daniel is good, but nothing special. I certainly think he can go pro and notch up a good career on a cruise ship.

Apparently the doors got stuack and wouldn't open so they were left behind the scenes...

I never saw it saturday Night...played catch up yesterday although i knew who had gone....

Daniel should have gone Saturday...even though there were a few runners from where I was sat.... Daniel should never have got to the finals IMHO...I think they sent better home at the begining of Bootcamp

I really don't like Laura. Her voice drives me insane and shes dating an xfactor producer. Alexandra is good but has no personality. Diana, love her or hate her, is what the charts are all about at the moment. It could have been Osma Bin Laden up against Scott and I still would have wanted Osma bin laden to go through. Scott showed his immaturity. Could you imagine trying to work with someone like that!

Rachel took it really badly in the Xtra factor interview and was hardly able to speak. This may have been because she daren't say what she thought for fear of putting her foot in it. To be fair to her she did sing that survival song particularly well, but is struggling in the likeability department.
Austin should do OK as he's an excellent singer , I'm sure someone will snap him up.

I can`t believe that Rachel is still in, she was AWFUL, as was Laura, they were my choice for bottom 2. But Diana and Austin weren`t much better, and much as I like Eoghan, he wasn`t very good tonight. I thought that Ruth, Alexandra, Daniel and JLS were good, but JLS were way out the best act of the night. Will someone PLEASE get Rachel and Laura off there, they`re doing my ears in!

I think the only reason Louis chose Austin to go last night is because he was one of Simon's acts! He wasn't thinking about the talent of the two people standing in front of him (and Austin was way better than Rachel) he just wanted to score points against Simon :evil:

I agree with Katy, if Rachel does have this 'raw' talent then it would have shown through from the very first live show. I admit I liked her in the auditions but since bootcamp she has been a very big disappointment and hasn't delivered at all

The point scoring is only done as it makes "good TV". If the judges were all sweetness with each other, it wouldn't be as entertaining.

Austin was awful in his first song, I just forwarded half of the other songs as it was a dull evening. Daniel is obviously a good singer, but he is cruise ship material, he sticks out like a sore thumb on the show.

I happened to think all the acts sang well tonight. I think Daniel is lovely, and he is talented, but he isn't a pop star, and hasn't got the X-Factor. Diane was amazing, and is easily the best.
