I spent Christmas and New Year there which was great. I hate Playa de Ingles, and Maspolomas is sooooooo windy. The other 3 times I stayed in Peurto Rico, ok but boring once you have been a few times Confused The last time I went was with my hubby (before we wed) and planned our baby Laughing We hired a car for one week, drove round the whole Island. Went horse riding in the mountains, Souix City etc.... Mogan is great too. But once you have done it not a lot to do, I would go again in winter, for a family hols though. I hate those shopping centres and touts trying to sell time shars or get you to eat in the bar/club. Not sure if it's the kind of place you're looking for if you weren't keen on Gran Canaria but there's quite a few things to see over here like Loro Parque. If you want a less tourist area then you could try staying further up north in Puerto de la Cruz. Hope that helps Smile |
