ok this is it.
i've booked a week off at work for late NOVEMBER. for the last two years we have gone to sharm el sheikh in egypt. i love it there and would quite happily go back. hubby on the other hand would quite like to go elsewhere. problem is not being a great abroad person i'm not sure where to go. so can anyone here come up with any suggestions....this is what we'd both like:
1. guaranteed good weather
2. no more than 6 hours flight
3. not a "clubbers paradise" Shocked
4. not an out of season place
there i think thats about it!!!! i'd like to book somewhere by the end of january ...so you've all got time to HELP MEEEEEEE

Medot have you thought about Cyprus? My friend just loves it out there.
Other than that somewhere like Fuerteventura. Guaranteed sun and peace and quiet there Smile

We have been to Fuerteventura a few times in November and have usually had good weather mid to high seventies its a very laid back sort of place you will either love it or hate it. Its a lot quieter than the other Islands and has some of the finest beaches in Europe. You will find further info on my website.
With regards to other locations if its hot weather then you are looking long haul Caribbean , Maldives , Goa etc.

Dubai !
Kenya ! (longer than 6 hour flight though)
Think Cyprus is likely to be warm and sunny in November.

mike...how far away on a plane is dubai...i think it might be a little too far...unfortunately on the way out to america i was poorly on the plane...and on the way back from sharm last holiday i passed out breifly. the thought of having a long flight just is a no no. looking into fuerteventura...but its working out quite expensive. medot.xx

What sort of money are you looking to spend medot? I think its the flights that are the killer to the canaries at that time of year - as they know there isnt too much middle-distance opposition.

Medot,
sorry for the delay in responding to your question about Dubai distance, not looked at this site for a few days.
Looks like it's about the same as flying to Washington. I'd estimate it to be about 7 hours. Bit further than the Canaries. Guess it would be about 1.5 hours longer than an Egypt flight to Sharm.

Hi Merdot
Have you thought about visiting Tenerife?
1. Guaranteed good weather
2. It's a 4 hour flight
3. If you stay anywhere other than Las Americas then it's not a "clubbers paradise"
4. It's not an out of season place
Hope that helps Smile
