When are you all going to cyprus and where are you stayingWere off on july 14th for a fortnight staying in the Grecian Bay in Napa. My parents will be out there from the beginning of may and will join us for a week at the hotel so that will be nice.

We're off to Constantines the Great in Protaras in 6 weeks time. 
Never been to Protaras before went to Limassol last year and loved the place so hope its as good.

18 weeks next Wednesday we fly out to Sunny Cyprus!! 19th July to be exact......... 
We are staying at the Andreotis Apts......... just 400 metres from the lovely Fig Tree Bay.

Well basically, we had the Holiday Plus with Airtours, so you could book In one hour before your flight. As the flight was taking off at 9.50am, we decided to set off at 6.45am... plewnty of time to get there and book In.
 Unfortunately we didnt check the Tv for problems on the road etc.... so we didnt know, until It was too late and heading on the M62 to Manchester Airport that there had been a RTA which had closed both sides of the motorway
We had to do a detour around Oldham to get to the Airport......we arrived at 9.50am.......the time our flight took off. It was actually half empty as so many people had missed the flight (there were even Air stewardesses and Pilots that were late aswell)
Basically, we had to cough up another £360 for four more tickets...... flying from Humberside Airport .......so we had to get a train from Manchester....... It took 2 and a half hours to get there and £60....... we arrived at 3.15.......the flight didnt take off until midnight  we actually got to our Apts 9.15am the following morning.
The money we had to fork out for our tickets was actually our spending money.......but thankfully my mother Inlaw sent some money over to a bank In Ayia Napa...... so we didnt miss out.
That Is why we always now stay In a Hotel overnight at Manchester Airport...... just so that we dont have to go through that again...... It was a gutt wrenching moment when we realised we werent going to make our flight..... I wouldnt want to wish It on anyone.

Oh god Louise thats awful No wonder you stay in a hotel the night before
Thank goodness we stay ten minutes from the airport but I still
leave the house about half an hour before the two hour check in time
Hubby says I'm nuts

Its definitely something I would not like to go through again
My Inlaws, and sister Inlaw and her family are also coming with us to
Cyprus this year....... but theyve decided to just get a Mini Coach on the
morning to take them to the Airport..... we shall still be In bed when
they are setting off

Crikey, and the sea is sooooo blue aswell Helen....
Like Ive mentioned before, Weve never stayed on that part of the Island before. We did head to Limassol for the Ship , however, when we went on the Mini Cruise to Egypt. Thats all we saw....... out of the coach window.
