I don't know if this has been discussed in this forum before but you can watch nearly live Freeview TV on your broadband PC by logging on to Tvcatchup.com. You have to be in the UK (it checks your ISP) for it to work, which is a shame. You don't need any hardware, TV card or aerial as its internet based.

On your Desktop Pc it has a use if you are working in a room away from a TV set and you want to keep one ear on whats coming on next, and have it runing in a window in the background. If you have a laptop its obviously more useful and can find a hotspot or use your mobile broadband account.

If you have an I-phone (my sons have one) its absolutely a must, its free, its brilliant and works anywhere - even in a car ( if you are a passenger of course).

when I signed uo it said my Isp was valid and compatible with the site and then it just worked fine. Do you get a message about your ISP ?

I just looked in the site forum there is technical advice there, are you using Firefox ? Have you got adblock running ? possibly you need to disable it on the site to enable the right page to load , but it works OK for me without doing that.

i used ti on mozilla,, and it wouldnt download, so i went on IE, worked fine but tried to sign up and it was an "windows cannot diplay this page,,,,,,,,,"??

ISP is compatible, and it tells me that Orange is ok

It sound like a technical problem with your browsers possibly your hosts file ( as its specific to that site) but you'd be best asking somebody like musicman to advise you.

GRRR I hoped I could trick it, but I couldn't and it wouldn't let me watch anything. BAH HUMBUG!!!!
