Well i know for a FACT that you dont get to perform infron of the judges first time round
a lad in my schoiol ayuditioned in june in Macnhester and said hed gotten thru then first 3 auditions?? i said o are you at boot camp, he said no,,,, he hadnt even sung infront of simon ,, he did 3 auditions and then an interview on his life, then got a letter saying no further auditions were needed

so how the hell do the liikes of that largish girl who cannot sing get IN??
total farce and all for viweing figures

ps this is corrobborated on Digital spy too, seems the process was one erson picked in 4,,,, and a bank of ten or so tents you performed infront of...they had a quota to get trhu

But that's exactly how I expected things to happen. There are 100,000 entrants and you don't need to be a maths genius to work out that there must be a weeding out process. The criteria for getting through to the judges has to be on several levels, not just talent, but on entertainment vaue based on the applicants percieved delusion and lack of talent, quirkiness or some other undefined thing they think may interest the public. The X factor don't pretend that 100,000 people are seen by the judges.

Anyway, I just found out you can see the best auditions on line at the ITV official X factor website. If you have an ad block (as in Firefox) the video wont play unless you disable the ad block.

I have to admit I don't watch it very often, I hate it when the judges make people cry and some of the acts are just so awful I'm embarrassed for them.

That bloke was really good though, I might have to watch it more often, thanks Frank.

Watched on Saturday wasnt over impressed with anyone not keen on the new audience auditions but supose it coins in more dosh for SC rest of the show predictable ritual humiliation, angry relative, judges arguing, judges fan, etc etc will be rcording rest so can zap throuigh in about 20 mins

The guy with the big hair might stand a chance, with fat lass from Trinidad had a great voice and personality, The guy who lost his brother will be this years Daniel and do well when it goes to the public voting.
I think they have done all the usual things in the "script" now.

That scottish lassie that was on it was from my town,still never watched it.

Like the factor though,

Liked the old format,no background music or anything....I`ve no idea why a lot of them seem to think they can sing though,they actually line thereselves up to be humiliated

I can't recall any real megastars in the making yet, from this weeks show Dominic Harris, who came back after dropping out of last years show was pretty good, Nicole Lawrence the pub singer with bad habits might develop with coaching. Faye Bray will be remembered more for how she dressed and talked ( reminded me of Nancy from Oliver) rather than her singing, which was OK.

It surprising how little got shown on ITV1 regarding the judges homes week. You may have got the impression like me that they only sang one song and that was their one chance. Not so - If you saw ITV2s extra factor, you''ll have heard them singing a host of other songs. Jamie Afro for example sang Purple Rain and made a good job of it. The Bart Simpson twins sang a Beatles hit. Well all find out officially tomorrow who made it and who didn't

Aye we watch the XTRA factor as well Frank.

On X factor i timed Cheryl and Lou`s acts and they got roughly 25 seconds,while all of Mr Cowells acts got at least a minute coverage...Am i sad?

Just shows you though eh,he owns the show the format etc...So already using it to his advantage

I agree those comments were uncalled for. Having had no previous knowlege what she was referring to , I googled to find out what she was on about. Aparently Danyl is bisexual. Danni had suggested that in the song he sung '‘And I Am Telling You', ( a song usually sung by women about a man ) that- "But if we're to believe everything we read in the papers, then you didn't need to change the gender reference in it." This was met by stunned silence for a few seconds until Simon changed the subject. I expect there will be a backlash on Danni about this.

On another subject, does anyone else think Louis has had cosmetic surgery ? Theres something about his upper eyelids and forehead that looks distinctly tight. I have made a google search and in August it was said he was thinking about it. Did he do it ?

This twins have to go, Simon was right as usual they defineitely don't have the likeability factor, nor can they sing.

it was not an apt thing to comment about, it made no reference to his actual versoin of the song nor the actual performance, it might well have been a joke between the pair of them as she said had been going on since rehersals, but it didnt look like he saw the funny side,

Nick I think you are setting too much importance on the fine detail of the lyric and not enough importance on what happenned. What Danni said (Thinly disguised ) was effectively " You are a bisexual" using the lyric as an excuse. He may well be, but thats not why Danni is there, shes supposed to judge the performance not his sexual preferences.

They also referred to the publicity others have had ie the twins and the Tarty group.
Still convinced its a contrived stunt The X Factor was a bit of a dying duck on most forums till this occurred.

I haven't really seen this series much at all. I didn't think the show worked in front of a studio audience. It turned it into a freak show (even more so). However, I watched last week and taped last nights show.
Danni's remarks were appalling and unprofessional. I didn't read the story about him being bi-sexual as I don't read the rags and am not interested in someone's sexuality.
Apparantly, she has apologised and was "speaking in jest". SO? She is there to make comments on his performance, not to make comments about his sexuality in front on millions of viewers, some of whom will be his pupils at his school. OK, he has already spoken of his sexual preferences in the tabloids, but it is none of her business. She should be sacked. Nasty and spiteful bullying to score points for her team. You could see/hear the reaction of the studio audience - silence! Says it all.

I thought the lad who sang Leona's song was awful! Cheryl was saying "It's been so hard this week..........." and I really thought she was going to go on about Stephen Gately, but she didn't, thankfully. Cheryl's song choices were poor.

Haven't watched much of this year's series, though funnily enough did see the episode with Danyl's audition....
he seems good to me...shame they're now criticising him for being over-confident

I watched the the results show last night
I didn't think the lad who got sent home was very good
the twins are just a joke

and I did feel sorry for the poor girl who had to sing again, she was really upset....something adedeje her name is?

the whole act was over the top....didn't like the ? Soviet theme, did they choose it just because the chorus was "Fight"

another oh....is it just me getting old, or is the whole stage set totally OTT? it is so full of flashing lights, swirls, shapes and colours that I feel it detracts from the performers. (that's if you can spot them in the glare of the lights)

and finally...I thought it was funny when Whitney Houston's top came undone

she looked a bit embarrassed and also cross, but kept going like a real trouper

didn't like the song much, even though it gave her plenty of opportunity to be yodelling lots

Aparently Danyl is over confident because he is massive in the USA already, thanks to Youtube. He is the new Susan Boyle. He was invited to appear on the Oprah Winfrey show but was banned by Simon from participating whilst he is an X factor contestant because it would give him an unfair advantage.

Danyl, Lucy and Miss Frank are my top 3 this week. Rachel was much better both in look and sound, the best she's ever done. I'm hoping its enough to keep her out of the bottom 2, she deserves better now. The twins were pants again . If they are not in the bottom 2 then Lloyd and Miss Frank could end up there by default.

Well I saw that scenario coming, I even suggested that Miss Frank would default to the bottom 2 if the Simpson twins stayed in. Obviously Daryl wasn't voted for due to 'someone else will vote for him' syndrome. I'm wondering whether somebody is running a vote for the twins campaign like( Chris Moyles) just for the hell of it without considering or caring that peoples careers depend on this.

According to a poll on GMTV the terrible twins were top of the ratings, are people just trying to make Simon squirm or do people really think they are good. They can't sing; dance or entertain for my money and as for their clothes sense say no more.

According to Digitalspy, Tabloid reports have claimed that Rachel Adedeji topped last weekend's X Factor public vote.

Their report also claims that the Grimes brothers only escaped the bottom two by 0.5% and have been in the bottom four every week so far.

"This is going to blow the whole competition wide open now," said a source. "People were actually starting to believe that the twins were going to win. But now it seems their days are well and truly numbered. They could even be out this week. And Rachel, who no-one fancies, has been piling up the votes this last week."
