a new fly-on-the-wall documentary starts tonight....C4 at 9pm.....about a family and their everyday lives.

i wonder how it will compare to the very first fly-on-the-wall doc...about the wilkins family in the 70's.

i missed the first 10 minutes.......saw the husband and wife sitting there on the settee and the wife just gestering to the hubby to change channels on the tv...not asking him just flapping her arms......my hubby said..ooo thats what you do to me!!!

I watched some of it at 2300 for a while but got too tired and swithched off.
It looks really crazy exactly like what pcatko said at the start.

the family is an average family i suppose.....

mum/dad/14yr old boy/17yr old daughter/19yr old daughter(going on 30) and an older daughter who lives down the road with baby and fiancee

14yr old son seems like a typical lad, 17 yr old lass seems quiet but witty, 19 yr old lass seems like a waste of good air and has no sense of responsability, not seen much of the other daughter and her family yet.

dad has obviously suffered from years of domination fromthe women and doesnt quite know what to say or do so just tries to take the lead and act the man, which he then fails to do when the wife butts in and speaks over him

wife is a 40yr old woman who's just turned 40 and is depressed about it, tearing her hair out about the 19yr old daughter, but doesnt like it when hubby tries to take matters in hand(typical bloody woman lol)

still, its only the first episode so theres a way to go yet.

I wanted to slap the daughter!!! so selfish and inconsiderate, especially when taking the day off work cos it was her Mums's birthday and Mothers Day and then went out clubbing....again...

I'm fascinated by it...I can identify with some of it to be honest. The bloke reminds me a bit of one of my brothers. I do wonder what the family think now they are seeing everything on the TV and if they have any regrets doing the show. Also I wonder if they are happy with the editing of the show. Felt for poor Tom the other night after Emily was a nasty pasty to him

i cant believe that man
he is so very very rude and arrogant
verbally abusive to his son

i am 36 yrs married
but you can be sure i would not be if i was married to that
prat of a man

maynard is a mans man and definitely no pushover

but he would never act like that

He is good on the saxophone though.

He was a bit weird last night, not sure if it's clever editing but he's got worse mood swings than me and that's saying something!!!

Yes he was horrible.

I've only just watched that episode tonight.

Mind you he is not always that bad. I wouldn't like the TV cameras to be on me when I'm having a bad day and I think he will be mortified when he sees that episode.

Each episode seems to concentrate on one member of the family then the next on another.
