StirlingHad lovely weekend at the Stirling Highland Hotel which is just below the castle. Hotel very nice, used to be an old school. Has gym, swimming pool and sauna.
Got great 2day deal on late rooms £118 in total for B+B.
Great place for shops too.

betty good for you, Stirling is a local City for us. I think it is a lovely place. The location of the hotel is ideal, easy access for the town and the castle. Did you visit the castle :?:
I think its the best in Scotland, though I am biased. its a special place for me
The view from the esplanade looking down the forth valley and accross to wallace monument is superb

We did Laws although we never went into it. It was blowing a gale and lashing down. That was our second visit. Beauty is it's only 25mins away too.

I was there for work; stayed overnight at the Stirling PremierTravelInn, then went to work somewhere on a new housing development round the back of the castle.... then had to move on to Glenrothes for the next day.

Yep, drove past it, but my firm won't pay for me to stay in posh gaffs while away on biz!

I only get £75 a night, to cover hotel, breakfast and dinner! premiertravelinns usually squeeze in just under the £75. I've used laterooms for Northern Ireland and had some great stays there.
