snails!!!!!!!!!we have been infested with snails.........they are munching on my lemon type fir tree.........it smells of lemon when you rub the little leaves!
if i stick slug pellets down will that stop them..........?

In my experience, yes.
We have way more snails than slugs in our garden, and I always put slug pellets down when I've planted new flowers - the result is loads of slime trails that don't quite reach the plants themselves, and empty dried-up snail shells!

tony, i did try salt, but then it rained and my plant died.........i darnt try it again

bloody hell BEFORE you put the pellets down make sure you can with the dog!!
my friend cant with her dog...it would eat them!!

If you put pea shingle around the plant they dont like it....and wont go near your plant.....
or crushed up shells....

dotts, he doesnt tea leaf owt except things he can hide in his bed, but he never eats them

Best thing I've found is copper barriers ...works for slugs AND snails ..they get a tiny electric shock from it and fall off ... serves 'em right for munching
