Playa Garden Apartments, Playa de Muro (nr Alcudia), MajorcaWe spent a great holiday at these apartments recently. There were two families (4 adults and 5 children in all). The apartments are well laid out. The kitchen area is very small but okay for making cups of tea and a sandwich etc. We did not do any cooking in the rooms .. we were on holiday !! Good sized bedroom with twin beds, bathroom and large living area (the sofas converted into very comfortable beds). Good sized balcony too. Idea for drying all the gear after a day at the pool - and for sitting with a book and a glass of wine in the evening when the kids were in bed !
The supermarket at the Apartments is very well stocked and has all you would need.
The children loved the swimming pools. There are 4 different pools which lead on from one to the other - each getting deeper as they go along. So a pool to suit all ages/swimming abilities. The Hotel provides plenty inflatables for the kids to play on.
Our kids did not join in the Kids Clubs but they certainly seemed well organised and there was always something going on. The mini disco which was held each evening was a big hit.
The hotel is right beside the beach so for a change from the pool you can go there. Gorgeous white sand and blue seas. The sea is very shallow so very safe for kids to paddle/swim in. There are pedalos for hire, banana boat and parasailing available from the beach.
We ate most meals at the buffet provided at the Hotel. Good value for money with plenty choice.
Not really much to do in Playa de Muro in the evening. Usually array of arcades with machines for the kids to play on (you need plenty of 1 euros). Which was fine for our kids but older teenagers would probably be a bit bored.
Alcudia is only 5 minutes away by bus though.
Think these apartments are ideal for families - especially with young children. Would definitely recommend the place.
