We stayed at Barcelo Palma Nova last year, and we are again this year. The hotel was awesome, and you didnt feel the hill under the influence of alcohol (which was only a euro for a pint of vodka,just across the road!)

The pool was good too.

we went through first choice. One of our reps was scottish and i didnt understand a word she said all holiday. but she was well cool.

If you can get cheap flights try booking with the SOL hotel chain direct.

Just updating my post here.Booked the Tobago Hotel through Alpha Rooms £866 for two,half board for the first two weeks in August.Flights with Thomsonfly were £355 with in flight meals.good flight times,7.45am
depature,return 8.20pm.Taxi transfer with Taxipmi £40 return.All booked and paid for.

Just counting the days now.

Good choice...I satyed here a few years ago...It's not Palma Nova as such it's Torrenova but both PN and Magaluf are easily accessible

Hiya Tango,
Have you noticed that the tour operators always say Palma Nova not Torrenova.

Never mentioned the hill upto the Barcelo hotels either last time we went there.At least the Tobago is at the bottom of the hill and we're only across the road from the beach.My mate stayed at the Barcelo Palmnova Apartments last year.He was complaining about having chest pains after climbing that hill

Still hasn't got himself checked out.
