Old Farm Cottages - TunsteadJust returned from a weeks holiday at www.oldfarmcottages.com paid for by Sandra's sister and brother in law to celebrate their silver wedding annivesary.
Fantastic cottages if a little difficult to find, altough I would have found them quicker if Sandra had let me turn down a narrow country lane when I wanted to . The pool was very good with timtables access for each cottage on a private basis and then a Shared Time for everyone. Was a little less constricting on the time due to us having three cottages, but the timetable was fair across the week with every cottage getting private time in both morning and afternoon slots.
They hired three cottages, Mardlers, Ostelry and The Stables (which we stayed in). All of the cottages were very well equipped and beautifully decorated. Very close to Wroxham, were Roy owns everything and we hired a day launch for a quick joint up the broads. Stopping at all the pubs along the way, just to experience the differing atmospheres you understand.
You would definitely need a car to get you around because it is very out of the way, but within 4 miles are two major supermarkets (including Roys :D, which was very reasonably priced considering he has a bit of a monopoly.
Had a very enjoyable week, mainly because I was able to avoid having to shop with Sandra, by helping Dean when he walked the dogs.
Went for days out in Southwold, lovely place, but a tad expensive. Norwich, where Dean finally got to go inside the cathedral as I was able to look after the dogs whilst he went round. He has been to Norwich 8 times and always wanted to look around the cathedral, but has never had anyone to look after them. Got chased by a priest who it turned out had lost his weimaraner too bone cancer a few months ago and wanted to meet the boys.
Visited their favourite places of Wells Next The Sea and Burnham Market were I had a nice pint and went in the most elobrate toilets I have ever been in, picture of the ladies room, which I did not go in on the following link http://www.hostearms.co.uk/meet.html
All in all a very relaxing week and the cottages are very highly recommended.

It is a beautiful part of the country and we were very lucky with the weather, mainly day with the odd quick downpour that was usually over within 10 minutes.
Only problem with the country is the mud my car is a right bloody state!!!!!!!!!!
