my holiday to CENTER PARKSright i'm going to start this here then move it in a couple of days to the holiday bit.
went to centerparcs at elvedon last monday for a mon-fri break.
i've been so many times now that it gets a bit boring writing and talking about it...so bare with me here!!
had a great time...fairly relaxing...it was great to see hubby being able to unwind and get a decent nights sleep....sure it was all the fresh air!!
highlights of the holiday.....
hand feeding the squirrels that would come to our patio
seeing the look on hubbys face when one of the squirrels ran off with his croissant!!
having a "private" mud bath.
getting a break of 4 balls down in pool!!
beating hubby on our last game of table tennis.
realising there was NOTHING wrong in my"down belowies" the pain was just walking around for an hour without realising i had left the gusset strip in my new swimming costume
all in all it was a great break....not cheap mind you....which is a downfall for just a short break.
but its still a fantastic family/couples break.
a few pictures of the place....
we stayed in the hotel part of the complex and this is a picture of it taken from the main lake
the revolving restaurant at the hotel. felt a bit weird eating and moving at the same time!!
a picture of the lake...we normally have a villa around this lake.
a couple of tree pictures...well we were in the forest!!
one of the waterfalls in the centre
the sports complex...
me feeding the squirrels
a jay comes to our table..
a passing peacock!!!
just how many ducks did we get each day outside our room!!
a couple taken in the swimming complex..
my holiday bruise!!!
me
and hubby
together 4 ever

Wonder why men tend to stick the band around the back and women wear them like clogs?
I loved centerparcs..dottie was there any live entertainment at night?
|
medot
|
madsue...there wasn't really any entertainment...there was a disco...from about 9.30.....but that tends to be dead.....and in the plaza where people ate there were people singing..but you had to be eating or drinking to watch them.
to be honest we were in bed by 9...and asleep by 10 every night!!..i blame the fresh air!!

Was it the Cumbria Cen Parcs?
Been years since we went - we gave up trying to book as never any dog villas and we really need enclosed garden for Jed.

Dottie the pics look great
and don't feel you have to justify the cost.......it sounds like a really relaxing place, which you need to recharge your batteries
very often, you do get what you pay for........

Lovely pics Dottie, I like the squirrel one, but must admit it`s not our cup of tea. I don`t like a lot of trees and plants and flowers, partly because of my hay fever and partly because of my absolute terror of wasps. That`s why we tend to nearly always stay by the sea, as near to the beach as possible. It does look nice though, very peaceful.

alison....it was elveden thetford center parcs....just over an hours drive from us.
karen..yep i was dead pleased with that photo showing my "nails". you can hire canoes, sail boards and wind surfers there.
oooo michelle i'm afraid that is a grey squirrel..i think it was a young one hense the colour..if it were a red squirrel i would be over the moon.
a few more pictures!..it DID get a bit annoying that we couldn't open the patio door without something just walking in!!
and finally a couple of "baby" ones!!
