Taba to Petra

We're seriously looking at Taba, and as it seems so close to the Israel/Jordan borders, is it do-able to get to Petra from taba?
(Petra's been on my "must do" list for ages!)

i can't answer your question on taba to petra

but i can tell you petra is a must do.

we done a red sea cruise in march

we done cairo pyramids and tutinkarmune (spelling)

luxor valley of the queens and kings and the temple.

but petra takes some beating

you must do petra,one day it was unbelievable.

thanks Irene! Now that we've booked it ( see the thread on General Chat) I find that we can indeed do a day trip to Petra!

(Sails across the gulf to Aqaba and then coach up to Petra...)
