I am a cheap and cheerful sort of girl when it comes to putting DIY holidays together.

I know travel lodge had an offer on lately where a lot of rooms were £26. I was wondering if this was a once off sort of thing or does this happen every year.

We are looking to put together a weekend with cheap flights and if I could get accomodation like this.

it happens on a regular basis best thing is go onto there website and register and you will get emails telling you about the offers , i have used Travellodges in Manchester on Saturday nights when the trains down to here are finished at 1/4 to 12 so go to on of the travelodges or premier lodges and get a room cheaper than a taxi (also Ibis are cheap )

We got two rooms next week for £10 a night. They are still running that offer.

Also got great info from "the thief" on where to eat out

Thank you very much for that info. I am looking for a travel lodge near Legoland. We are going to hire a car so it doesnt have to be that near. Maybe within 20?30 miles. We would need two rooms.

Thank you all, it just seems that now all we need is to get Ryanair Flights to coincide with cheaper accomodation.

At the moment the best price to coincide with the best dates is Reading on the M4. Any opinions on this. This is to go in June. I may wait until October or even put a package together for this time next year and make it a Christmas Present for the kids.
