Pisa/Florence/Siena/LuccaCame back early hours of last Thursday morning from 5 full days and 4 nights in Pisa. Packed a hell of a lot in.Stayed ... HERE they said 10 minutes from station but really more like 20/25. Travelled two days into Florence (one hour 20minutes max on train) - saw statue of David, climbed the Duomo. One day into Siena (2 hr journey by train) BEAUTIFUL ..in fact I think we enjoyed Siena better than Florence..and the last day we went to Lucca (25 minutes away by train) - up another bell tower and hired bikes to cycle around the city walls. Back to Pisa as we'd booked a 5.20 slot to climb Leaning Tower. Walked FOREVER - easily 8+ miles a day - but fantastic time. |
