Hilda us four love this recipe expecially the kids.
Chicken breasts
2 tins campbells condensed chicken or mushroom soup
extra mushrooms if required.
small pot of creme fraiche
Put all ingredients in slow cooker EXCEPT for the CREME FRAICHE and cook for the required time. Half an hour before serving stir in the creme fraiche and serve with potatoes and veg or rice and veg

thats Mondays dinner then! Thanks Paignton! I don't get in until 8.45 on Monday cos its yoga (IF I'm not too cold to go in the first place ) I've got quite a few of those sachets of Tilda rice and that only takes 2 minutes in microwave. (ok...I'm crap at doing rice AND pastry )

Would you brown the chicken breasts first?

Personally I wouldn't put chicken breast into a slow cooker, much too expensive and tender. Best cuts of meat are the cheaper one's that need long slow cooking to tenderise them, like stewing steak or stewing lamb add a few spoonfuls of pearl barley, onions, potatoes, root veg and stock and few hours later you have a lovely meal

I never pre-cook anything before putting it in the slow cooker.
Julie I love me chicken breasts done in slow cooker, just melt in mouth when they come out
I do though like stewing steak and braising steak done in the slow cooker with dumplings!!!

Never said they wouldn't be nice just that they are expensive compared with true stewing meats.

well thats hwat i think anyway..
you have to be carefull with chicken breast as they do tend to break up and become just stringy...
