butterfly here and that's how I met my now hubby

The butterflies on the floaty thing on the main index page are for her.

R.I.P. Helen.

A lovely thought guest...

RIP Helen

That's lovely guest

I must admit, I didn't really feel like posting anything on here, but thought that Helen had so much enjoyment from this site that she probably wouldn't want us to stop chatting.
Trish

The butterflies are very appropriate. Since they symbolize renewal and rebirth, maybe some people will find comfort in the fact that Helen is no longer suffering. My thoughts are with her family.
pedpolly

I stopped posting on my daft lunar eclipse thread , i just cant think of funny things when this sort of tragedy happens but im sure Helen would want us all to carry on as normal although to be honest its very near impossible at the moment.

....... I really dont know what to say about Helens sad passing...... I have not been on here since Thursday.... ....... I was extremely shocked, as I really didnt know that Helen was that poorly. She was one of the most thoughtful, caring, considerate lovely people I have ever come across...I dont think she ever had a bad word to say about anyone.... I may have only chatted on MSN and Pms etc, but she will be sadly missed by me........ Im sure everybody who knew Helen would agree with me when I say, if you knew her, she touched your heart, as she did mine........ ....... god bless you Helen Bluebabe...... you shall be sadly missed by many people........ my thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time..... I shall always remember Helen, especially as yesterday was also my daughters birthday...... x

RIP Helen,

We had pm'd because it turned out that she had gone to the same school as my brother in Changi, Singapore. I know she would have liked to go back just to see the changes.

I haven't been on this site since Friday Afternoon, so it was a great shock just now to read the sad news. I didn't know Helen was so ill. I don't know what say, but having read the wonderful messages on here it is clear how loved and respected she was by us all, always having time for other people despite her own problems. She will be sadly missed.
My sympathies to her husband , family and friends.

Rest in Peace Helen..........

May I go now? Do you think the time is right?
May I say goodbye to pain filled days and endless lonely nights?
I've lived my life and done my best, an example tried to be.
So can I take the step beyond and set my spirit free?
I didn't want to go at first, I fought with all my might.
But something seems to draw me now to a warm and loving light.
I want to go, I really do. It's difficult to stay.
But I will try as best I can to live just one more day.
To give you time to care for me and share your love and fears.
I know you're sad and afraid, because I can see your tears.

I will not be far, I promise that, and hope you'll always know,
that my spirit will be close to you wherever you may go.
Thank you so for loving me. You know I love you, too.
That's why it's hard to say goodbye and end this life with you.
So hold me now just one last time and let me hear you say,
because you care so much for me, you'll let me go today.

This poem always makes me cry but its message was some kind of comfort when I lost my brother.

Thinking of Helen's family at this very sad time.

Every poem has set me off, but that last one from Lyn really says it all, and like guest said, is perhaps very apt. Made me cry again
shorty

crying has to be good. Keeping it in has to be bad. I have cried more since I heard than ever, I think. But I am not ashamed of that. Crying is therapeutic, its releasing and its very very necessary.

I do so agree, and I hope this brings us closer together and maybe heals some old rifts.

That would be a real legacy to have left behind xx

Well, its heartening to see faces whove been away for a while, able to come in and add to the list here.

Ive just received a message from buzzcock who says he would like to pass on his sincere condolences to Helens family.

I am so sad reading the news about our Helen. We are from the same wee town and I never even got to meet Her. I did say if she ever needed anything just to let me know and I would help her. I am so upset that I didn't get the chance to know Helen in person. I was reading through my pm's as there are lots from Helen and every last one is so kind, caring and thoughtfull.

RIP Helen

Oh No! I've only just read this.

I had an email notice about the thread "post a smiley about how you are feeling today" and I was wondering why everyone was so sad........and then I had a scary, sad thought. And I was right, although I wish I'd been wrong.

To Helen,
You always had something nice to say. I never read anything that you wrote that was ever angry or unpleasent. You wrote kind words to me when I had low times, and up until recently, I didn't even know you were so poorly. Yet you never complained.
While the rest of us often moaned about stupid things, you were ill, but offered words of sympathy, as well as writing things that made me laugh!
I'd like to say I knew you well, but I didn't. I wish I'd known you more.
This is how I will remember you.

My thoughts for family, friends and loved ones.

May you rest in peace, Helen. Goodbye.

Love Jackie, GQB xx

I just don't know what to say, I'm so sad about this.

Helen and I shared a love for Cyprus and spoke online often about it and our the holidays we both had there.

She was a truly remarkable lady and although I didn't know her personally, her kind loving character always came through in everything she said.

This world will be a little dimmer without this wonderful lady.

Sleep in peace Helen, you'll be truly missed.

My thoughts are with family and friends.

RIP

I first read about Helen late on Friday and just couldn't put into words how I felt. Although I am not a very active member when it comes to posting I log in nearly every day to read whats been going on. I never expected to read what I did on Friday.

I just think the messages that have been posted say it all.

If I'm not wrong in thinking we will be in Paphos in the summer the same time that Helen should have been there. I'll raise a glass in her memory.

R.I.P BLUEBABE. What more can I say.

I have been away all weekend and just got Michelle's PM directing me here (thanks Michelle!)

I can hardly believe it. Sitting here with tears in my eyes.

Helen was a true lady - always happy and cheerful (despite her illness). She always had a kind word to say to people and was a "right good laugh". Over all the time I have "known" her she has been in and out of hospital but you never heard her complain - more often than not she would be offering others a sympathetic ear.

HC will be a quieter sadder place without her posts.

RIP Bluebabe - a true Angel

A message from Sanji......

A butterfly blue fluttered by one day.
She settled on my skin and began to say.
Whispering softly, calm and clear
Hold me close and hold me dear.

A butterfly blue fluttered by one day.
Taking the time to stop, settle and say.
Have no fear at what life has for you
I’m always here, near and true.

A butterfly blue, I see you in the sky
Fluttering in the wind, graceful and high.
Your words of comfort are plain to see.
You flutter by, when others forsake me.

A butterfly blue no longer flutters by.
She had no time to say goodbye.
I still feel her presence upon my skin
She left her mark, where do I begin.?

Fly high and free Helen.
-Sanji

I've only just logged on for the first time in a week and can't beleive Bluebabe is gone. She was always such a cheery lady with a smile and a kind word for everyone. My condolences to her family.

Medot, i'm sure her husband will really appreciated what you are doing. My husbands best friend died suddenly 2 weeks ago aged 34 and his friends made a scrapbook full of pictures and tributes from the webste that flooded in and gave it to his family at the funeral which they found a great help to know the affection everyone had for him, so I'm sure Bluebabe's familly will too.

I know I am a bit late but I've been offline for a few months and didnt know how ill Helen was.

I did know her through this site - as a fellow Scottish Rangers fan we had a common bond - and she was such a lovely lovely person. I truely am gutted to have heard the news and sincere condolences to her family xx

Maybe not appropriate but I think she would have laughed - at least the Gers bet Celtic on 11 March xxxx
blueheather

Me too - don't get chance to come on much now but when I do I like to have a quick mooch round.

I was so very sad to learn of Helens passing. I knew she was very poorly and that she had similar problems to my dear Mum who I sadly lost early March.

I read this out at Mum's funeral.............
HEAVENLY STAR
When God turns on the lights at night
he looks down to make sure -
we’ve enough light till the morning
and if he thinks that we need more

He adds another star or two
from out his little store
And when they need replacing
He reaches down for more

The stars are all his children
he’s taken from below
He doesn’t tell us which are ours
we never - ever know

So if you find you have the chance
No matter where you are ……………
Look up at the sky tonight

It’s got a brand new star……

From one Blue to another - will miss you Babes

while I was away I thought a lot about Helen, especially as we passed the Avanti village where she was going to stay and also where her family were going to be. on the day she was due to fly out I wore a butterfly necklace.
and the next day or two there was a beautiful butterfly flying around the pool. and even landed on the next sun bed to me, reached for my camera and it flew away....

I went to Aphrodites Rock while i was away to see Bluebabe ...she must be happy as there where a few butterfies around .... at the rock there is a tree which people tie hankies around the branches i think these are prayer trees .... so i tied 2 one for Bluebabes family and one for my brothers family
