napa plaza hotel - ayia napaMy parents are going here june 18th. They are both in their middleish 40's. However they are having 2nd thoughts, so much so they want to change it. They are worried that ayia napa is going to be too young and there will be nothing for them to do unless the buy some glow sticks (their words there)can anyone post anything which will put their mind at ease?? |

The napa plaza used to be the napia star hotel and got a huge overhall which has made it into a really modern lovely hotel. It is right in the centre of napa and to be honest it really caters for young couples in their 20's who stay there half board. It is a really nice hotel and its bar peppar fronts the main strip of napa (not the square where the madness is) which makes for really good people watching. The locals use it in the evening for coffees etc. and the muisc is quite loud.
Napa is definitely not only for young people. My parents retired to napa and they stay out there for most of the summer they are both in their 70's now. Believe me there is plenty for your parents to do and to see. The beaches are fantastic and the food is second to none. I would recommend though a change of hotel. Im in my twentys and wouldn't stay there its just too much in the centre for me for a restful relaxing holiday. Im in the centre every night but want when I go back to my hotel to be able to sleep and the location of the napa plaza would not really permit this. If you tell me what brochure they booked from I will pick a similar hotel for you and you can recommend it to them. The napa plaza is a four star so without knowing the brochure they used I would say any of the following hotels would suit them far better: Grecian Sands - about a 10 min walk the centre on a fantastic beach Adams Beach - would need a taxi to the the centre but fantastic hotel (i heard they are getting 5 star status in the near future) Nissi Beach - next door to adams beach right on nissi beach also would need taxi to get to centre Pavlo Napa - can walk to the center and also on a lovely beach Tasia Maris - a thompson gold hotel - gets fantastic reviews Hope this helps a bit Also, the web for the napa plaza is as follows http://www.napaplaza.com/ |
