MarketSue or anyone else
How far is the Sunday market in Teguise from Puerto Del Carmen??
Is it best to catch a bus or a Taxi ....Cost of Taxi roughly if anyone knows
And lastly
Is it a good market or is it just cheap tat.....I find often these days the prices are no better in these Spanish markets than they are in the souvenir shops and the choice is about the same.
Any help gratelfully accepted

Sorry tango!!!! Don't remember to look in here very often!!!!
You can catch a bus to the market on the Sunday morning from the main avenida. Don't go in a taxi, no point at all!!!! The buses run from around 8.30 in the morning. So, come out of the complex, cross over to the beach side of the road and find the nearest bus stop! There are two roughly equidistant to where you are staying. I think the last buses back from the market are around 2 o'clock, so do make sure you don't miss it, cos the queue for taxis gets a bit long, to say the least!!!!!!
The market can get very crowded, and it does sell the "typical" market tat, but Teguise is a beautiful place to look around, lots of cobbled streets, old buildings etc, so if the market gets too much for you, you can always explore some of the rest of the town.

As early as you can tango, they do get very crowded normally, so don't worry if one goes by you full, there are backups!!!!!!!
Also, just tried to post on HT but won't let me on. So this is off topic really!!!
Found the Cutters Choice tobacco this morning in a small tabac shop up near the Fariones Hotel. Opposite to Burger King and next door to Autos Feber. It was 29.99€ for 10 x 50g. I've never noticed it before, but at least you know there is some here on the island!!!!!!
