Why not be adventurous fly to Athens and then use the ferries.

flying from Manchester is adventurous for me  usually fly from Leeds 
I booked it on line with James villas then they ring you back to confirm, I had a call to say the flight wasn't available (although it is still being advertised on their web site )
I've been before and it is beautiful

Similar problem the holiday was not available. Admittedly a different island but similar example.
have now booked schedule service flights to Crete, extra legroom, checkin from home etc. Then direct with hotel. The hotel has quoted us last years room rates. We have actually saved hundreds of pounds over the last time.

I've booked it, a different holiday but still to Lefkas.
Sunday 2nd September for 2 weeks
I'm staying in a little place called Nikiana
I'd had my eye on a holiday but it was too expensive, I'd been watching it twice a day and on Wednesday morning it was reduced  so I booked it

Oh McBabe!!! Had to do a rekkie here! We've booked to go to LESBOS pmsl.. yes I know..I've had my hair cut short for the occasion pmsl!
We're out the 30th....in time for our 35th wedding anni on the 2nd September...just for a week to chill..(or roast according to the forecast!) Let's do a ferry hop!!! LOL!
