Has anyone stayed in these apartments? I can only find them with Direct Holidays and found a few reviews but they don't seem to be well known.

Hope they are ok because we are booked to go in August. Laughing

Ive seen these apts mentioned at a few places...youre NOT going are you?? Shocked Shocked Shocked

Lol, only joking, i havent read anything bad about them. Very Happy

Ah. i just found this...make your own mind up....

The apartments were o.k but it has put me off self catering holidays! o.k maybe it wasn't THAT bad but the towels only got changed once during the week and they don't smell particulary clean. The room was cleaned 5 times, toilets, floors, washing up, etc. Every night when getting back to the apartment we had to catch cockroaches, which can be quite fun when you've had a few drinks!

These apartments where great, although on a bit of a hill. Very clean maids in 5 times a week, only complaint was the towels and beds only changed once. Snack bar at the pool is awful, closed at 5.00 and not even opened on wednesdays.

We spent two weeks in these apartments and do not think they are up to the general standard of apartments you get in Lanzarote, The apartments are set at the top of a hill (not that steep) but a long way from the sea front and any amenities, I would not recommend these to anyone who is not a good walker.

The apartments have no shop entertainment or restaurant, the pool bar is open until 5pm but not on Wednesdays, the rooms are quite large but make sure you request a balcony as the ground floor ones open out onto the path around the apartments, and offer no privacy.

The staff are not at all helpful or friendly, we got one change of towels in two weeks, after complaining we finally got some more on our last day. A lot of the sun beds are broken and are all chained together, make sure you take some ear plugs with you as the apartments are used by an Irish travel agent whose clients like to party and sing at all hours. The grounds are very well maintained though.

We have just returned from an excellent holiday. The lanzarote apartments are situated a 5-10 minute walk downhill to the resort of PDC. Apartments very clean and well equipped. With a private good sized balcony. The maid service was excellent, they were in 5 days a week and towels were changed regularly, they even did the dishes!!!!

The pool area is nice and there were plenty of sunbeds, the pool bar was also nice and sold a good variety of snacks, inside of the pool bar had slightly dated decor but we sat outside most of the time.

There are five separate reviews here, so you never know.

Thanks Mick, these are really helpful.

We haven't been self catering for years I have to say, normally we are half board of AI. Kids find that this doesn't suit them and they want to eat things that they like Laughing so we are giving them freedom of choice this year as I know there are many places to eat in PDC.

If my towels are smelly I will be shouting about it believe me Laughing

If I have to walk uphill, it may help me to lose the excess holiday weight Laughing

I think cockroaches are a common problem in Lanzarote so I won't worry too much about that on.

Thanks for taking the time Mick, I appreciate it.

Depends which resorts you goto, Playa Blanca is still expanding rapidly along the coastline, PDC itself seems fairly 'complete' with most of the main land already being taken up, costa teguise is getting in a bit of a mess though, it's too unplanned everywhere and as such is suffering, lots of places shut down or run down, was quite sad to see even a 6 month difference from nov 2004 to may 2005
missy

Sorry guys think I should make myself a bit clearer - when I posted asking for help on Lanzarote Apartments - I meant that is what the apartments are called - I wasn't asking a general question on apartments in Lanzarote.

These apartments are based in Puerto Del Carmen - if anyone has stayed in them I would appreciate some information.

Just paid my final bill today so tickets will come soon .....(well about 6 Weeks) but thats soon enough!

Just had a look on my map missy.I can see their location. They are in the new town and are back from the main street in a quiet area.
I didn't see them personally but from what I did see all the appartments in that area look basically the same from the outside.
I take it you've already checked out the reports on Trip advisor/Hols Uncovered etc so there isn't much else I can tell you
