LANZAIDJust in case, anyone coming to Lanzarote this week, Saturday is the day for Lanzaid!!!! An open air music festival being held in the Old Town Harbour from 2.00 p.m. till 2.00 a.m. Everybody welcome, and there is loads planned!!!!!! The first one was held last year in aid of the victims of the tsunami and we raised 33,000€. This year local charities and the Cruz Roja will benefit. Last year it was brilliant...........I'll let you know after this Saturday how this one goes!!!!!! There has been talk that us money counters are to spend the whole 12 hours in a room under the stage

The english speaking community could certainly do with some nurses!!!!! Specially care for the elderly, respite care and care for the terminally ill. |

I've looked into it already and I have to speak Spanish, as well as medical spanish. I also have to take some seperate exams to qualify to nurse anywayin Spain. Never mind, just waiting on that lottery win! |

OW OW OW!!! My poor ole feet and legs hurt!!!!!!!!! The concert was brilliant, as was the weather!!!!! I spent 14 hours on the go, but it was all worth it, though we didn't raise as much money as last year. Perhaps because the tsunami was still so much in everyones minds last year? Anyway, I think everyone had a good time
Was anyone on this site there? I met someone from another forum, and he said he didn't think I really existed

How did you start up a conversation with someone about being on-line? Did he actually know you on-line? Must have been a bit surreal, especially since you don't exist!

Weather has been absolutely fantastic this past week guest, though today is a bit cloudier, and we must have had some wind in the night as my gate has gone AWOL again!!!!
GQB It was funny, really, I was "in charge" of volunteers, and this guy gave me his name.......I said are you such and such from such and such. He said yes, I said hi I'm madsue and he said oh I didn't think she really existed!!!!! I suppose he didn't believe that I am actually known by that name here

My sister was on the beach in Goa chatting to someone when she mentioned a place that had been recommended on HT and the other person was someone she had chatted to on-line. its a small world. |
