Ever fancied a cruise but not sure if its for you?

Did you know P&O Cruises do a "taster cruise" for either 2, 3 or 4 nights.
They sail from Southampton and dock in either Zeebrugge, for a day in Bruges on the 2 night cruise or, the 3 night one docks in Rotterdam for a day in Amsterdam before going onto Zeebrugge for a day in Bruges. (think the 4 night one goes into Guernsey first)

I have just sailed on the Oriana, we did the 2 night one, (was my hubbys 40th birthday pressie) We had a really lovely time, the food was fantastic, as were the staff and the entertainment.

I have to say that i thought this was excellent value for money, (the earlier you book with P&O the bigger discount you get) they dont rip you off with drinks prices either, (all food is included)

We had a really great time, and we will certainly look to do another one in the future.
If anyone is booked on the Oriana, you will have a lovely holiday, and if anyone has any questions i will do my best to help.

been on the Thompson 'Emerald' sailing out of Palma around the western med - about 5 years back.

Been on several Caribbean cruises before that and after - the Thompson was not the best by any means and I'd not use them again.
To be fair, that was based on just one 7 night cruise with them and it was 5 years back so they may have improved.

Royal Caribbean is excellent for accomm., ship facilities and good for food. Norwegian Cruise Lines (the SS Norway) was much better for food - both quality and choice but the old SS Norway (originally the SS France) was dated and tired and couldn't compare facility wise with the Royal C. ships (especially the Voyager class at 132,000 tonnes).

Looking at the market again for cruises with excellent food - P and O are highly recommended by friends who've sailed with them several times (I've seen the menus and the choice and style looks impressive). Carnival cruise line also (suprisingly to us) seems to have a good reputation.

I worked on the cruise liners in the 80s you can't beat P and O, they are for sure the most superior of the cruise liners, nothing is too much trouble from diet to entertainment, they will accomodate you.
