We stayed here a few years ago, we stayed at the hotel Buenaventura, a fantastic hotel.
But as for the resort, i just didn't like it. I don't know what it was about the resort, but i just didn't like it.

Thanks wickedchris. Don't worry about telling me you didnt like it. We went to Tenerife last year and I wasn't that struck on it.

I dont like PDI at all, just doesnt seem to have the same effect on me as Puerto Rico , but saying that i dont particulary like PDLA especially after working there for a bit ,
but i love Puerto del Carmen and also quiet like Caleta on Fuerte(doing that as i once got told off for shortening the name on another site :):):))

I would deffo go back to Gran Canaria coz I'm sure there are some really lovely places. Maspalomas beach looked fab with the sand dunes. Did'nt like all those centres where shops, bars were. Puerto Mogan supposed to be gorgeous.

Mogan is , Maspolomas i found very quiet sayed there a few years back and found it german orientated and expensive , buit to quiet for me , i stayed in Amadores last time and Patalavaca the time before and they were great , quiet but on a 3 euro taxi away from the life

Am planning/saving for our silver wedding holiday, not for another 4yrs!! It's in January so think might go back to Gran Canaria for a week. Want something really nice.

Was that me TOBG?  It is one of my pet hates when people shorten the names of resorts!!!!!!! Does anyone do that in the UK? Yes I know people say Skeggie but is any other place shortened?

Nope it was a mod of a certain site LOL and the name is THE THIEF OF BAD GAGS :):):)
I shorten places round here , Knutsford is Knutty , so when you ring a mate up and say "That i am going Knutty" they tend to agree :):):)
Thats it really Altrincham i call Alti , and Manchester is called Town , but some foreigners to Knutsford call there Town , in fact we confuse everyone

So back to the thread , to sum it up , i dont like PDI or PDLA or CTand PDLC , i do like PR, LC, PDC ,CDF(now changed its name) and LG and i hate with a passion NH
