but in all my travels to the Caribbean I've never seen a baby or young child with bites, maybe they don't taste right. Our then 7 old grandson didn't get bitten once last year in the Dominican Republic.
You could have problems getting baby supplies like nappies and milk in Cuba so you will have to allow for taking them with you when packing.
I've been on many long haul flights with young babies and its take off and landing they often don't like, I've been told that allowing them to suck at these times helps with possible ear discomfort.
Over the years I've seen many babies in the Caribbean and all of them seemed happy and healthy and enjoying the extra attention they get on holiday.
