How much fun ...........Was had searching for old pop videos on YouTube yesterday afternoon (my wife started me off on this story after showing off some of her favourites).
XTC - Generals and Majors video (featuring Richard Branson!) and Towers of London: seriously what a brilliant band they were. Even the later stuff like "Dear God" .....
The Jam: Going Underground and In the City ..... cool .........
The Damned: New Rose ('nuff said!)
Toyah: IEYA! Oh I loved that while she was still punkish before the commercial stuff she did like "I want to be free"
Buggles: Video Killed the Radio Star: first video ever shown on MTV, the music channel now turned reality tv junkyard
Kate Bush: Babushka (though how a grandmother was supposed to be cute, Babushka is Russian for an old lady)

I love Youtube, often have a playlist running while I'm surfing.
I found some Flying Pickets on there, remember them?

Oh yes, that's going back a bit! (They were a bit tame for punkish me.....)

I saw them in concert in their heyday, yes I am that old.

Hehe when I went to see Suzanne Vega earlier in the year I was reminded that it was over 20 years since I'd last seen her live.
I saw BB King in Rotterdam during his farewall tour as well: after a 20 year gap!

Hmm I walked out of Jam gig bored...too many boring support acts and by the time they came on I'd lost interest

You Tubes good though great way of rediscovering bands you'd forgotten you liked and seeing Jon Anderson's dreadful lack of style through the decades.
I checked out Toyah recently as well...she was cute in her heyday.

Yes she wasn't bad in her heyday, most of the kids at school seemed to prefer Kim Wilde for some reason though ..........

Kim was OK but more conventional. Now Debbie Harry!

Haha, yeah Debbie Harry ..... I gave my Dad a copy of Blondie's Greatest Hits last year and immediately got a complaint by email about trying to do his heart in ....
