Hotel Montagut,,,,,,,,,Santa SusannaShould have been called Bustagut on account of the food served up!!
Right here goes.................... as some of you know ( and very paitent and helpful you were too ) i booke this hotel as i couldnt find any SC that was basically cheap enough, and this hotel had "suites" not rooms, (i like me space you know and if you know my hub you know why) so,,,
Position; the resort is only 2 hotels deep so not a massive hike to the beach. about 200 yards,,,
Poshness; very nice, only been in 2/3 star before so this was a bit up market than what im used to,,( you seen photos of me house then that youd understand too)
Decor; very sleek and modern,,, not traditionally spanish, and the truth book said it was "garish " but i dont think so, it was dark wood (well formica) but nice,,,,Bathroom done in cream and burgundy tiles and chrome bits and bobs
Rooms; very clean and done daily too, a lounge area with really good sprung double bed (not the ones with sponge cusions you chucked on the floor) a TV, mini fridge that we should have paid for but as it was open already we never reported it!! a hairdryer and a twin bedroom with loads of wardrobe space! a massive terrace and Air con,,( not that i flippin needed it) through a venting system that you could control your self. It did heating too and i almost had to use that once!
Entertainment; once again never been to a hotel with this so was a bit iffy about bingo or organised activites, but it was just enough, the littlies had a mini disco every day and night (which was the same 4 action tunes ) but they loved it, and every night there was some kind of act, juggling, magician, acrobatic, that kind of thing, and started at 10 most nights so you could eat and go for a walk and not miss it,
Food: you want a list?? there was everything for breakfast, evening meal was a different nationality ever night, British night was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,curry!!!!! the kids ate really well and so did hubby. eldest had snails rabbit baby whole squid,,,,,,,,, guess what hes having for tea in uk?? beans.
Staff; really helpful even tho half of them couldnt speak english ( then again i cant speak german, french, dutch, or spanish like they could) but they were always plesant and friendly.
it was a good choice ( by me) and a good hotel, if the group who owned this hotel had them all over the world and not just northern Spain, then my holiday would be a lot easier to choose.
