A Few??? LOADS!
If you can imagine....one road direct from Fethye ...through Ovacek...straight down into Olu Deniz. Hisaronu is a village...just beyond Ovacek ...on the right hand side..like a spur that goes off of this main road - there is now a roundabout there!!! It used to be just one small road..no pavements. Over the years it has grown..pavements have been put in...and now there are places where traffic can no longer go. All the real nightlife..eateries are in Hisaronu. It is about a 10 -15 minute dolmus ride up a VERY VERY steep hill...don't even think that you can walk there of an evening !!...from Olu Deniz.
A couple of really good chinese restaurants ... you can eat somewhere different every single night if you want to.
Much prefer to stay in Hisaronu and dolmus to the beach each day. From Hisaronu you can get a dolmus up to Kaya Koy..the deserted Greek Village...the dolmus stop is at the end of the village. Ask! Don't bother to pay for a trip with the reps! In Hisaronu...on the right hand side ..is a wonderful shop called Unique Anatolian Arts...run by a VERY good friend - from the years that we have been going...he is called Cem (Jem...the C in turkish is pronounced J ) He speaks excellent english...ask him anything you need to know! Trips....Hamish McTurk (I know! Scottish/turkish guy!)...in Hisaronu gives some of the best deals going..NEVER book with your holiday rep! He is situated on the right in the town..just before him on the left is CaDianda Tours - very good too.
The main beach in Olu is the public beach....quite stoney....to the far right is the lagoon..where you pay a small fee to get onto it. HOWEVER....if you stand where the dolmus drops EVERYBODY off ... hang about..and you will be approached to see if you want to go to some of the other beaches beyond the lagoon. MUCH better and they take you and fetch you back to this point for free!
Any more info....let me know! Where are you staying?? As Hisaronu has grown....a lot of the holiday companies now call Ovacek Hisaronu...which it isn't - and you can have a 25minute walk into the town of an evening! or just stop a dolmus en route! We always use the Hotel Orka as a guide.....if accommodation is Hisaronu side of the Orka ..no real problem.....however..if its Fethye side...! A lot of the hotels are now being built back from this main road too. No real problem I suppose...but you have to faff about with taxis/dolmus of an evening.

Hi Pam,
We are staying at the Grand Ucel used to be Club Solaria. Has new owners now and has been refurbished, they have the Salhan Inn Apartments which are right by the Grand Ucel. Do you know where it is. Can you walk from Ovacik to Hisaronu is it up hill, down dale. Can you get a dolmus into Fethiye for a night out.
Sorry for all the ??? but it is our first time to this area. Normally go to Gumbet or Icmeler.
Thanks Tinks

Hi Tinkerbelle....
Must be one of the new hotels off of the main drag! I found their website...which if you haven't already seen...I'll pm one of the reviews to you...T&C again.
Its says you are about 20minute walk into Hisaronu village itself...so its probably Ovacek you're in..although they keep creeping the boundaries of Hisaronu further and further along..and are calling more of Ovacek, Hisaronu!
