herb gardenI'm thinking of starting a small herb garden. As i don't have a garden it is going to have to be a container.
What is the best way to start this of?
Just buy the herbs from supermarkets and plant them will they then grow bigger or what.
I know i sound daft but i'm new to herbs.

That's what I did chris
I went to Teso's bought the ones I wanted, then to B&Q and bought one of those terracotta urn thingys with about 8 pockets on them like this
get a good quality compost like John Innis and then plant.Keeep in for a few weeks until the frosty weather has gone and then harden off by putting out on nice dry warm days and taking un at night. After 2 weeks of hardening off you should be able to leave out permenantly and then just either bring in for the winter or pack with bubblewrap until the frost has gone.
Hope this helps

I'll give that a try in a few weeks. As we now use loads of herbs and there expensive. But yesterday they had them for 29p at Lidil.
Thanks again.
