chemical fixingsHi SusyQ..........
What you need is a good construction glue.
i worked for a company a few years ago that did underpinning and structural repairs to buildings and we used many different types.
I think the one ideal for you would be concrete based.

They come in a few colours so you could match it to your ornament or add some cement colouring if you wanted a perfect job. They work with a very thin application if needed so the break line would almost dissapear anyway. its a dry powder and you mix with water very easy to use and harder than the concrete..
Not sure where you would buy it or if you can buy it in a small enough quantity to be affordable. You could try a local builders merchant for a two part epoxy resin glue or a chemical fixing glue.
Monumental masons use glues to repair damaged headstones etc so you could try the yellow pages for a local company and see if you can find some help that way..

Here's something that should do the job..
On the link below.. click on resins (2) in the shop category..

If you live near the business you could save the postage costs..
you do need the applicator gun £14 to use this product correctly. But, the tube could be cut open and manually mixed on a board (care taken and gloves worn as its sticky nasty stuff doesnt wash off anything its comes into contact with including skin)
