First trip in new to us van !Just heard we can get away for a trip so we are heading out on the 8th March for our first trip in our new to us van, just finished sorting out all the things we need to put in it and took first 3 loads down to fill up cupboards etc. Looking at the amount we have left to take down and the amount of cupboards we will have loads of spare storage, which is a huge change from our last van.
So now just need to decide where to go ??

I'm not very good at geography either (pmsl..see School Reports )....and not sure where Woking is
I like Rye....or Salcombe in Devon.....or..there's a touring caravan thing just up the road from me and then you could do Constable Country..Flatford Mill, Lavenham, Kersy etc etc for a long weekend....AND come and see ME!!!!

Woking is very near Guildford, and about half an hour from London on the west side.

Sounds great, Julie and good news about the storage...I'm sure you'll find a way to fill it up though
What sort of places did you use to go to before?
Do you like the coast, woodlands, towns and museums, ?????

We particularly love Scottish high lands but too far to go for a week.
Chatting with OH and he is favouring Glastonbury area, then travel back up through Dorset. He reckons I am due my fix of hippyness, Glastonbury always calms me down and rejuvenates me and I don't even use the drugs so easily available in the area

Glad you have a sense of hummor Julie coudnt resist my first comment However I was serious re Dorset. The Jurassic Coast is one of our favourite places in the UK There are also lots of nice places inland as well.
The Cotswolds would also be handy for you somewhere in the Warwick. Bath Oxford triangle.

Nick we had lots of fun elsewhere with the idea of going to Blandford Forum for a meet
But yes, Dorset is pretty

My Dad came from Dorset so I'd quite like to have a few days wandering around the poole wimborne area, oddly once he left and made his home in Surrey he never showed any interest in going back there so we never really visited before.
Might see if we can find blandford forum just for a laugh

Acorn I had missed that, so full credit to Alasienne (and I can confirm that I did not copy and paste the idea)
Julie I am sure you will love the area espescially with there being family connections. There are loads of sites in the Wimborne area just depends what you are looking for.

If you`re thinking of Somerset, Cheddar is a nice place to while away some of your time.

Only seems to be one camp site open at cheddar rest don't open until end of the month, and the one that is open is fairly full. We have several other sites we like around the glastonbury area which is very close to cheddar !
