Fence PaintingHas anyone heard of or tried out the new paint B & Q is selling for fence panels. Not sure what it is called but once on you are not supposed to need to paint your fence again for ten years! I think its quite expensive but if it works and it means I dont have to get the paint brush out every spring it will be worth it.

Thought it sounded to good to be true. Might have a wander to B & Q at the weekend just to check it out though.

Just watch the breeze when doing this. My brother did a load of trellis for me once....ended up with a belting tango-tan.

Ive always found it fine and did all the fences here but then there is nothing around them for the spray to damage etc.

do you dilute it down to spray it. as i found it clogged up the nozzle. if so what make and or brand do you use.
was always told creasote was the best , but the smell gives me a terrible mygraine.

You dont want to be spraying creosote...itll burn you to death! Cuprinol preservers are best, and they flow like water thru nozzles.

So you guys would recommend the Cuprinol paint sprayer then?
I've just had new perimeter fence put up front and back of the house, and so there must be at least 150 feet of it to paint. I know if I start brush painting it all I'll still be there next year at this time.
But I am worried that the Cuprinol sprayer will be a waste of money - paying for the sprayer, then the special paint etc. Is it easy to use?
What do you think?

Elaine.
I have just finisned painting a fence along one side of my house and erected an painted another along the back.
Get a cuprinol sprayer from B&Q £21.98 and use the cuprinol sprayable fence paint. Did mine in a quarter of the time it would have taken using a brush. Easy to use and easy to clean.
Just make sure you dont have cars or anything nearby that may be affected with overspray and as guest said watch out if its windy.
