Flights on BMI Baby £348. £1214 total Flight times are 7.20am going,11 45am return This is for the last two weeks in August.Any comments on this price would be most appreciated,There's a lot more choice of accomodation going DIY. Hotel booking through Alpha rooms. We've not done DIY before but I think we'll give a try.The flights on BMI Baby were cheaper a couple of weeks by about £40. DIYHello Everyone,Finally booked flights on Thompsonfly.7.45am departure return 8.20pm £355 for two.Hotel Tobago half board £866 through Alpha rooms and taxi £40 return with taxipmi.This is in early August.First time we've done do it yourself.We usually go with Thomson but there wasn't a lot of choice of hotels in Palma Nova or with other Tour Ops. Not saved a great deal of money DIY but had more choice. The Tobago reviews are ok except for the food.That won't really affect us as we always get up too late for breakfast and always eat out in the evening.One of the best parts of the holiday  Along with the drink And the sun

I've stayed at the Tobago and there was nothing wrong with the food
I've always found when going DIY it works out cheaper if you deal direct with the hotel |

Hi Tango,
Most of the reviews of the Tobago moan about the food.Some say its fine,others say its not.Someone said at breakfast you can't take your plate off the tray or you get told off I suppose I'll give it a miss only because we like a lie in and love trying different restaurants at night.I believe the rooms and views are good.Stayed up the hill at the Barcelo a few years back and friends stayed there last year.Didn't fancy it although it would have been cheaper to book the hotel direct.Anyway got to be better than last year in Santa Ponsa.Nice place but too small.One week would have been enough for me.

They must have changed it then...it is a few years since I stayed there but we never had trays....friends went there year before last...I don't think they mentioned trays either....anyway trays or not the food was lovely when we were there |

Hello Tango,
At least I know it's in a great location. Hope we get a room with a sea view.Most reviews seem to be from people who go in winter.I'll try a few meals and do a full review. I'm looking forward to it.Need some heat.I hate Winter.
