Broadhaven Bay Hotel , Belmullet , Co MayoWent to this Hotel for my brothers Irish part of his wedding.
I have got to say it was fantastic.
Very inexpensive €210 for the 3 of us 2 nights B&B.
The rooms were clean and modern.
leisure centre was great with usual gym , swimming pool. jacuzzi , steam room & Sauna.
We didnt use the restaurant but did have bar food which was of excellant quality.
Breakfast was buffet , food was fantastic , nothing was too much for the staff.
This hotel we found out is owned and run by a local who bought it as an investment. He has all local people working there and it really shows that they must be treated very well as every single one of them seemed so happy in their job.
Food at wedding was excellant.
No rush to close the bar on any night (even though it said that residents bar closes at 4am)
I would definitely go back to this Hotel and would recommend it to anyone that was touring this part of Ireland.
Thomas left a book that he is extremely fond of there (Egypyology) it is a very heavy thick hard backed book. I rang them today to see if they had it. Was told yes they had it in front of them. Asked how would I get the money to them to post it back (as it will cost a few quid). No way were they having any of it. It will be in the post today.
