Not reaally it was just that I had this vision of glittery high heeled wellies I supose if you could get them the heels would be good for making planting holes

i will post some pics later of hubs two allotments plus fruit cage, shed and greenhouse--we eat all year round off it and it takes a lot of work--i don't have any real interest in it, but if anyones got any questions about growing stuff, i'm sure he'll be glad to answer them.

I'm absolutely HOPELESS with growing stuff!
I didn't realise until we moved into the countryside, that brussels grew on stick things until I saw them at a farm shop! I thought they grew out of the ground like little cabbages
..and when we first moved here I spent hours moving a load of plants cos we had to put a damp course in.....a visiting friend told me a week later that I ought to 'pull those dead nettles' up

lol we made two compost bins last sunday from pallets, was quite theraputic hammering nails in!!!
have nearly cleared the main patch, cut down the hedge at the back and tidied it up a bit, i dont think we are going to attempt anything growing untill spring. We are trying to get some manure delivered and will dig that in.

Well ive got leeks and parsnips still growing for Xmas...and ive just this week put some winter onions in that will harvest from May onwards. Ive got them under a fine mesh to keep the birds off and a bit of heat around them.
|
Trish
|
Nice one Mick, they'll both taste great once they've had
a bit of frost on them.
