All Bran CakeIt tastes a lot better than it sounds and is the easiest recipe ever.
It's a firm favourite here (which is why I have to make 3 at a time )
For each cake put one cupful each of:
All Bran
Sugar
Fruit (I use sultanas)
and milk
leave overnight or for a few hours then add a cupful of self raising flour and a few walnuts.
Place in a greased loaf tin and bake for about an hour at 180 degrees-ish
Cool on a tray and taste with butter
Yum yum

yes but if you only had a slice at a time .....its the sort of thing hubby would like...and it sounds easy to make.

I used to make a loaf cake which had apricots in it. Was really scrummy. It was only when eldest had some of his footie mates over that we realised it should be renamed FART CAKE!

It has a whole cup of sugar but it doesn't have any fat
The milk can be exchanged for any other liquid such as fresh orange or apple juice.

My Mum used to make these, they were nice.
Nowadays I find that wheat bran doesn't agree with me, so I wouldn't make it for myself.....
but it looks like an easy recipe
